Sasan Ardaneh

I recently completed a Master’s degree in Medical Robotics at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and previously earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications). I am passionate about combining artificial intelligence, robotics, and healthcare to develop technologies that can have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

My master’s thesis focused on real-time HD-sEMG gesture recognition for motor rehabilitation, while my current work at AIROB involves machine learning and ultrasound-based assistive technologies. I enjoy working across disciplines, from signal processing and AI to robotics and user-centered system design. Prior to academia, I founded and led an IoT startup for eight years, developing end-to-end systems ranging from embedded hardware to cloud-based software platforms.
