Silvana Miranda Montenegro

Silvana joined the AIROB Lab in May 2024 as a doctoral candidate.

She holds a Bachelor’s (Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen) and Master’s (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) degree in Medical Engineering. She focused on Signal Processing, Biomedical Imaging, AI, and Robotics during her studies. In her Master’s Thesis, hosted also by the AIROB Lab, she investigated the use of piezoelectric sensors for intent detection for hand prosthesis control.

As part of the AutoAssist project, her current research is focused on ultrasound signal processing for rehabilitation robotics control.
