Mr. Andrea Gigli, external Ph.D. candidate at AIROB@FAU and DLR, is visiting AIROB for one week. He’ll be dealing with gathering data from amputated participants with a revolutionary unsupervised machine learning myocontrol system. Stay tuned!

Mr. Andrea Gigli is a research fellow at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Munich, since 2018. He became an external Ph.D. candidate at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in 2021. Before that, he obtained a master’s degree in engineering in artificial intelligence and robotics at Sapienza University, Rome, Italy, in 2017. His research focuses on interactive myocontrol paradigms. This includes the design of algorithms for online machine learning (both supervised and unsupervised), and of human-machine interaction strategies.
