The AIROB research group at FAU invites applications for a student assistant position (Hiwi, ~15h/week) in the area of software development and sensor testing to support activities within the AutoAssist project. AutoAssist is a collaborative research initiative focusing on stroke rehabilitation through the integration of ultrasound imaging, intent detection, and virtual reality technologies. The goal is to enable adaptive, patient-driven therapy environments.
Your tasks:
- Development of software components within our C# software suite
- Testing and evaluation of sensor systems.
- Implementation of research and data analysis tools in Python.
- Support in preparation and execution of user studies (e.g. recruiting, conducting sessions, providing assistance).
Your profile:
- Enrolled student in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Programming experience in C# and Python.
- Knowledge of biosignal analysis, signal processing human-machine interfaces and ultrasound imaging is an advantage.
- Reliable, independent, and structured working style.
- Good English skills. German skills are also appreciated.
